Crous Lille Nord Pas-de-Calais

CROUS is an organisation that helps you in your student life, whether it be for financial aid, access to accommodation, student jobs etc.

There are many CROUS residences in the Lille metropolitan area. You can find all the residences near our campuses on the CROUS Lille Nord Pas-de-Calais website.

Remember to respect the calendar when applying for CROUS accommodation.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE

Various organisations can help you finance your accommodation: Lille CAF, Roubaix CAF, the student portal, the Public Service, and the Visale scheme (formerly the CROUS Student Rental Deposit).

WHAT IS THE VISALE SCHEME?

The Visale scheme replaces the CROUS Lokaviz deposit scheme but does not in any way play the role of providing housing insurance, of which there are several specialised companies for students and it is advisable to compare their offers.

The Visale scheme is a free, simple housing guarantee that is accessible online.

The steps for applying for the Visale visa can be taken on the platform set up for this purpose before the lease is signed during the inventory. Visale is aimed at young people under the age of 30 with no other conditions for accessing it.

In addition, it is possible to combine this aid with Mobili-Jeune, a scheme set up by Action Logement for young people under 30 who are apprentices or on work-linked training in the private sector.

Note that once the rental contracts have been signed, you can start the standard procedures for moving in, such as opening gas, electricity and water accounts.

GRANTS & SUBSIDIES

There are various types of grants and social and financial aid to support you during your university year.

If you encounter problems and have difficulties during your university year, you can contact either the IAE Lille management directly or social workers at the University of Lille and CROUS.

Among the help available, the University of Lille has set up an emergency aid called Aides Spécifiques Annuelles et Ponctuelles (specific annual and one-off help), which can be granted if your situation suddenly changes.

In order to benefit from this aid, you must first make an appointment with a social worker.
