Going abroad
IAE Lille’s international strategy is underpinned by a general philosophy that students who wish to have an international career must be allowed to spend time in another country, providing real added value to their CV and thereby boosting their employability.
IAE Lille’s international relations department of is there to help you in your efforts to find an internship abroad.
More than 100 partner universities can host your study trip.
5 GOOD REASONS TO GO ABROAD
- To take advantage of a network of excellent universities around the world offering quality teaching.
- To benefit from the advantages of inter-university exchanges: mobility grants, tuition fees without extra charges, transfer of credits etc.
- To enhance your adaptability and language skills for future employers.
- To differentiate yourself and enrich your profile with international experience without extending your university course (transfer and validation of credits obtained, possibility in certain cases of obtaining a double degree).
- To integrate yourself into another culture and open yourself up to another way of studying, living and communicating in a multicultural world.
HOW DO I STUDY ABROAD?
There are two application periods:
- Between December and February for the first call for applications (December for departures outside Europe and February for mobility within Europe).
- September for the second call for applications: we offer you the places remaining vacant for the second semester both within and outside Europe.

If your internship takes place outside Europe, you can apply for an AMI or Mermoz grant which will be awarded to you according to your family income.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A GRANT?
As soon as your internship agreement is signed by the three parties (the host organisation, IAE and the student), you can connect to your ENT, tab ‘Going abroad’.
Fill in step 1 and upload the requested documents, in particular the internship agreement.
When you have validated step 1, inform the International Relations Department by e-mail: iae-erasmus@univ-lille.fr
We check your documents and validate step 1.
You can then proceed to step 2, which is the application for a scholarship. Scholarship allocation commissions take place several times a year at the University of Lille and they will study your application.
You will then receive a response directly from the commission.
THE INTERNATIONAL LABEL
Obtaining the international label allows you to improve:
- Your language skills
- Your intercultural awareness
- Your mobility abroad: an undeniable boost for your CV
The label will be mentioned in the descriptive annex of the diploma, called the ‘diploma supplement’.
The Label has two levels which can be validated separately. You can obtain either level 1 or level 2 directly, or both!
